About Us

The club got its start when two brothers and a stranger began riding together in the summer of 2006. They and their families became a close knit group.

We went to see the movie Wild Hogs and related to many of their experiences. So on the next ride, the girls said "go Wild Hogs". It was then that the boys said, we're just a bunch of Old Dogs. After that we started calling ourselves the Old Dogs.

We started looking to build our patch and colors. Not wanting to infringe on any other club with the same name -- we changed the spelling to Ole Dawgs.

In 2007 and 2008, we started getting more friends riding with us and forming a more structured group. We believe in quality of the individual, not how many people we can get in our club.

It wasn't until 2009 that we settled on our patch, and decided to be a MRC instead of a MC.

We are a spirited and diverse group of people with varied interest, but the same goal. That being --- riding with our friends and enjoying life with them.

We understand that all organizations experience growing pains during their start-up period, and we are no exception. Therefore, we are moving slowly. Even though we are a Riding Club, we have worked with the dominate clubs in this area so that we "get it right". We suggest that anyone starting a new club do the same.

We are posting some of our rules on this site, but see no reason to post everything..
